EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:

“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35
As Christians, we are called to a different standard than the world. We are called to walk differently, act differently, and speak differently. But most of all, we are called to love differently.
Do you know that in scripture (John 13) that Jesus knew He was going to be betrayed by Judas? Judas was His disciple, and He still washed his feet and fed him? That is one of the most greatest acts of love-but the greatest being Jesus’s death on the cross for our sins.
Sometimes people are really hard to love. They can hurt us, betray us, and then leave us. They can really wound us with intense hurt. Jesus knew this all too well. But what did Jesus choose? Jesus chose love.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 tells us-
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
If God’s Word says we will be known that we are His disciples by our love for each other, how can we love others well today?
How can we love the ones who may frustrate us the most?
Let’s walk in 1 Corinthians love today and let us shine our light to the world, declaring we are Jesus’s disciples.
You are loved extravagantly, which allows you to love extravagantly. ❤️
