EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Would you consider your relationships filled with Grace? Are you able to extend people room to mess up? Do you let issues fall into God’s hands instead of lashing out on your own? No relationship can survive without grace!
“Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.” (Ephesians 4:2)
God’s word tells us we must “love patiently” because love accepts the things we can’t change, according to 1 Corinthians 13:7.
We must allow gentleness in our space of existence and remember this day that biblical love is who we are in Christ, and we should exude this expression onto others. Let some things slide! I’ve learned that people are damaged, just as I was once so damaged and messed up! God extended grace, and He forgave me! He saved my soul and made me whole! He did it. He extended me the grace where no one else did, but it doesn’t mean we should not always try to be Christ-like. We should!
Was I in need of someone to extend me grace when I messed up? Yes! Someone who could identify with me and lovingly pull me back up from the muck I was in. The Bible says, “There is no one who always does what is right, not even one” (Romans 3:10). Let us remember empathy for where we once were. We must learn to extend grace to each other.
“Accept each other just as Christ has accepted you.” (Romans 15:1)
