EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Beginning this new year many of us will have prayers on our hearts. Prayers that seek help from our Lord. Discouragement sometimes sets in and our faith seems to wobble when we don’t see results.
One of the biggest obstacles faced in our prayer life is discouragement. We can be discouraged for many reasons around the holidays. Discouraged means to be completely without courage.
Some experience discouragement in broken marriages or family members who won’t speak to us, possibly in a  rebellious child that won’t listen, chronic illnesses that are upon us or family members, maybe large debts owed, and the list probably goes on with long-term problems.
Unfortunately, it tempts us to wonder what’s the use?
How many times do we throw our hands up in the air and say, just forget it…or forget them… how do I ever get through this holiday with any sense of joy?
No, no, no….
You do get through this holiday! You WILL get through. Do not give up. Do not be discouraged.
Truth:
We can find all our encouragement in the Lord!!! Please, don’t ever give up. Please remain strong and steadfast in what matters most, God’s truths inside His Word.
The more we are attracted to our Lord and Savior,  the less we will focus on discouragement by other things we can’t control. God is in control dear ones. We need to understand this, know this and believe this with all our hearts.
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence  of things unseen” ( Hebrews 11:1)
Where is your faith? What do you believe? God’s truths in His word are what we believe!
God has your back and He has mine too.
Let’s get busy and stay focused on Jesus and His word…why?  Because the Lord is coming, He loves you! It could even be today. We may not have another future Christmas day to serve Him… He’s giving us this one.
Pray with excitement for each day that comes. The Lord will take care of you!
“Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who makes the storm clouds.
He gives showers of rain to us and plants of the field to everyone.” (Zachariah 10:1).
Our God is sovereign.  He is in control. He gives us what we need when we need it. We can still ask, but yield control to Him in your asking.
Today, I’m praying over each of you who are discouraged and brokenhearted, I’m asking God for your healing this Christmas. God knows who you are and you are so loved.
