EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
How many times do we feel dissatisfied with ourselves and being far off from where we feel our potential is? With the new year ahead we need to allow the words of Paul to empower us.
“Not that I have already obtained all this, or already arrived at my goal.” (Philippians 3:12)
Paul’s greatest desire was to know Christ and be like Him but he was nowhere near where he wanted to be or achieving his goal. But….he did not let that stop him from being real about his goals. He let others know where he stood and how to be free with it. He did not get embarrassed and he didn’t get stuck or stopped. He pressed on.
“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:14)
Paul was not going to give up and neither should we. Press on as the going gets tougher this year. New strides will bring greater reaching of your goals. Take the step of faith and reach harder, stronger, and longer to the prize that awaits you in excellence.
If the road is still long, take a deep breath, pray, and exhale with a new focus! You may not be where you want to be yet but thank God you are NOT where you used to be either. Keep on pressing on!
