EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Don’t simmer in the silence of “stuck”…
We all know receiving difficult news is not easy, especially if you’ve received it around special days or times in your life. It can cause us to be anything but at peace with ourselves and on earth or maintain a joyous attitude to celebrate with others.
How do you advise others to respond to news that is not pleasant? How do you respond? Do you panic? Do you sink way low from fear? Do you crumble and go away, or do you listen to God and hear God’s voice say, “I love you, I’ve got this”?
Which one do you choose?
I can share with you from experience that when my answers to any difficulties that arose in my past life came up and I did not listen for Gods voice, I got “stuck” in the silence and depressed. Even the first couple of responses I mentioned… panic, fear and crumbling would overcome me. I can now say with confidence, “I hear God’s voice say quickly in my ear, ‘I got this” and I TRUST Him.
It wasn’t always this way, so what changed? Walking through the process of yuck together with my Heavenly Father every single time changed me on the inside.
Yes, I realize I can cry now, vent a little and even scream, but it’s always knowing the fact that God is always there to comfort me. He puts His ever-lasting promises on my lips, always. My confidence in Jesus is immense. It’s something you must trust in and build upon each time you get stuck.
For all of us, every day we read God’s words of hope, we become strengthened. We can laugh at the enemy’s plan to take us out because we know our God is faithful. He will never leave us. His Holy Word is Truth!
When I might seem to scatter or fall apart, He admonishes me to find peace; otherwise, I won’t hear His instructions clearly. Hear these words, dear sister… “Don’t fall apart!” Ask God to give you grace and release your cares to Him for perfect peace despite your storms.
“I will rest calm and confident as I look from my dwelling place, serene as on a pleasant summer day or a cool, refreshing cloud in the heat of harvest.”
(Isaiah 18:4)
Does God “have you, and does He have what you are suffering in,” you ask?
He does!
Does He really???
YES, HE DOES!
“EVEN TO YOUR OLD AGE AND GRAY HAIRS, I AM HE, I AM HE WHO WILL SUSTAIN YOU, I HAVE MADE YOU AND I WILL CARRY YOU. I WILL SUSTAIN YOU AND I WILL RESCUE YOU.” (ISAIAH 46:4)
YOU just need to pause, collect yourself and hear Him say so!
