VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
PEACE IN THE STORM

There are so many things including relationships, illness, and uncertainty surrounding a wedding. My mind struggled to focus, and my heart felt heavy. I knew there was only one place to run. I cried out to God, desperate for direction and help.
In the middle of tears and prayer, Scripture became my anchor. Jesus’ words brought calm to my spirit: “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33, NIV). In that moment, peace replaced panic. I was reminded that dependency on the Holy Spirit is essential when we don’t know how to pray. “The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness” (Romans 8:26, NLT).
God’s peace steadies us even when storms rage around us—and it should be evident to those we encounter. We are called not only to receive His peace, but to release it.
To maintain peace during the storm, I hold onto three truths:
• Practice gratitude—remember past victories.
• Release thanksgiving and praise—worship shifts the atmosphere.
• Heighten expectation—God moves for those who believe.
As I pressed into prayer with fellow believers, God faithfully answered. Every situation turned for good. I believe this season will be one of supernatural help for you as well.
Guard your peace. Trust God fully. He has already overcome.
