VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Faithfully Waiting
“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” — Psalm 27:13 (NKJV)
Is it just me—or does waiting feel hard no matter the situation? Waiting in line, waiting on hold, waiting for a green light… and then there’s waiting on God. That kind of waiting can stretch our faith like nothing else.
Waiting on God’s promises often requires more than patience—it requires trust. Trust that healing will come. Trust that answers will arrive. Trust that God is working, even when we don’t see it yet.
David reminds us that believing in the goodness of the Lord keeps us from losing heart. Believing is not something we have to do—it’s something we get to do. Faith is a gift. And waiting becomes an opportunity to grow deeper in our relationship with God.
Faithful waiting means choosing belief over doubt and hope over disappointment. It means focusing on God’s Word instead of our fears and trusting that where we are right now is not who we are forever. Waiting invites us to spend more time with God, ask Him what He wants us to do in this season, and listen closely for His guidance.
We trust things in everyday life because they’ve proven faithful before. How much more can we trust the God whose Word never changes? Scripture tells us that everything else may fade, but God’s Word endures forever.
Whether you’re waiting on healing, restoration, direction, or breakthrough, lean into who God is and what He has already done. Ask the Holy Spirit for grace—to listen, to believe, and to faithfully wait.
What you do while you’re waiting will change your story.
