EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” ( Romans 16:13)
We all need hope to exist. Hope gives us encouragement to press on in this life and persevere…hope for our eternal home is confirmed in God’s word!
Having hope with faith does not imply uncertainty or lack of assurance; instead, biblical hope is a confident expectation and desire for something good in the future. We look ahead to the great plans God has for us, as in Jeremiah 29:11.
“For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord; plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
According to God’s Word, there are those today who are described as having NO HOPE – and they live without God in the world. This is disturbing to think about and devastating to know it’s real but true.
While you may think about those who have no hope if you know them personally, it truly is essential to the human soul to encourage them with truth from God’s Word. A life without hope becomes unendurable. Life with no hope is misery and sometimes a burden too grievous to bear. We see this with the suicide deaths of those we may know.
God, Himself, recognized the necessity of HOPE for the human soul. After Adam and Eve had sinned, they were without HOPE. God provided a way through Jesus to become our hope through His death, burial, and resurrection. Praise God for our eternal hope through the acceptance of Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. He paid the ultimate payment for our sins.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” ( John 3:16)
Praise God for Jesus, our eternal Hope, the lover of our soul.
