EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Colossians 3:8-10
“But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its creator.”
We are so susceptible to our surroundings as the world has influenced us to react in negative manners, responding to anger with anger. We are not giving God the opportunity to show us how to react.
Anger that initially sets in has no room to grow in your heart when your heart is filled with the truth of God’s love. When you think of how God would react, you are overcome with the sensitivity of His love and understanding. You are encouraged to follow suit and display what others are not getting enough of: love and a commitment to help whatever the need.
There is so much room to grow into the person that God wants you to be, so take the time to sit before Him and communicate where you’re failing. Allow God to show you where and how you can gain the victory you are craving. Anger is not the issue; your heart is.
Seek Him, trust Him, surrender to Him alone, and your heart will be renewed and healed.
