VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
A Golden Revelation
Sometimes God answers our prayers in ways that are both personal and powerful — not because we demand it, but because He delights in revealing His goodness.
After seeing a post about Cedar Waxwings spotted nearby, I quietly prayed, “Lord, I would love to see one of these beautiful birds.” It was a simple request. No urgency. Just desire.
Two days later, while sitting in my backyard trying to photograph a Painted Bunting, I heard a high-pitched “chee-chee” overhead. At first, I saw nothing. Then the clouds shifted, the sun broke through, and suddenly a flock of 25–30 Cedar Waxwings appeared — their golden breasts glowing brilliantly in the light.
God didn’t show me one bird.
He showed me a flock.
In that moment, I was reminded of Matthew 6:26:
“Look at the birds of the air… your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
God provides for every detail of His creation. Not one bird is overlooked. Not one need is unseen. And if He cares for them, how much more does He care for us?
This wasn’t just about birds. It was about trust.
It was about remembering that our Father sees us, hears us, and delights in blessing His children — often beyond what we ask.
Sometimes the clouds must part before we see what He’s already prepared.
When we pause long enough to notice, creation itself becomes a reminder: He is a good Father. And His provision is abundant.
