EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:

Alone Time With God

We need to determine the time we can spend with God alone each day and then do it. Before you know it, the opportunity will come and then slip away.

If I don’t do my quiet time the first thing in the morning when I wake up, then the later the day goes on, the more struggles and distractions that occupy my day and hit me head-on. Time slips away, and I barely realize it; that’s just me. But we all are different time constraints, but the bottom line is, “intentions are good,” but if we don’t make “God time” a top priority at the beginning, we often will overlook what is most important in our day. (or should I say what should be most important in our schedule)- spending time with God.

In the morning, being with God offers clarity for your day; in the evening, peace for your sleep. Ask God to help you carve out the special time, whenever that may be because you need to spend with Him- whenever you can!

Just as you would never think to leave the house without brushing your teeth, it should also be that you wouldn’t start your day without God. Please end it the same, with God. Your time with Him is the foundation for everything effective in your life. Wake up and tell Him how much you love Him and do the same before you fall asleep, He loves hearing your voice.

“I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him…Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him… O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to Him, for God is our refuge.” (Psalm 62: 1,5,8)

His Word, the Bible, is full of these scriptures that will instruct you each day and bring some peace by just knowing the importance that “time with God” brings. Acting upon what you read ensures it.
