EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
“In the Wait”
More and more we are hearing about people waiting for something in their lives. Breakthroughs, healings, answers to prayers are all some of the things they are waiting for. We can all relate.
Waiting on God is much more difficult than walking… for waiting requires patience, and patience is a rare virtue.
Yesterday, I wrote about delays. They are not denials and today people who are in the “waiting on God patiently period” possess a virtue.
We enjoy knowing that God builds hedges around His people, hedges of protection, and often times during that protection time, God works His wonders.
When we look at the hedge from the aspect of protection in the waiting, we can not deny God’s presence with us. He always has things under control and He knows our needs. But when we see the hedge growing higher and higher until we can no longer see over it, we wonder if we will ever budge from our “little sphere of wondering” of what God is doing in the waiting? Often times this is where we may feel trapped and our influence in the world dwindles in comparison to what is going on in “our own little world”.
Don’t compromise your sphere of influence and service to our Lord, in the wait.
Sometimes it’s hard for us to understand why we do not have a larger area of service or to serve God in, and it becomes difficult for us to “brighten the corner where we are”. But God has a purpose in all of His waiting periods. It’s His call to say when prayers are answered and what timing is needed for whatever He is working on.
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord…” (Psalm 37:3)
Please know your steps are ordered by God and if He has you in the wait, there is a reason for it.
God invests in you “in the wait” because He intends to use you greatly! Believe in His investment, it will reap eternal rewards when you honor Him “in the wait.”
