Many of us are afraid to step out in faith and serve our Lord. I’m here to tell you that the Lord doesn’t expect our steps to be perfect. He calls us to be obedient, take the first step, and allow Him to do the rest!
It’s not our perfect steps that the world is so desperately longing for, my dear sisters of faith; it is beyond that. They program our minds to think we have to be perfect to be accepted, and therefore many believe the lie.
The world isn’t impressed by supposedly perfect people who live in perfect houses with perfect children. Genuine people are impressed by love and “transparent God-inspired” love. That’s what will move them, and that’s what will give them great confidence and security. Be real.
I can testify to this each time I stand up to speak and mess up. I’m not perfect, nor am I any kind of a perfect, eloquent speaker. I see it each time I share my broken past and cry because of how Jesus loved me and forgave me of it. Grace and Mercy were bestowed, and for that, I share His love.
People can’t relate to perfection, but they can relate to being “real and authentic.” It encourages others to step out and try too!
How is God going to use you to build His Kingdom?
It takes courage, my friend, and remember; God is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask or think. Read Ephesians 3:20 and study it. I did. I saw I was not able to do much of anything in my own power with absolute success. (The kind of success I desired as a Christ follower.) Only with full surrender to God am I able.
Allow Him access and be willing to use your mess-ups for His messages; honestly, that’s how my writings began…
God promises to work all things together for good to those who love Him and are called according to his purpose. Are you called for His purpose? I believe YOU ARE.
