EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
“And then our immaturity will end! And we will not be easily shaken by trouble, or led astray by novel teachings or by false doctrines of deceivers who teach clever lies, but instead, we will remain strong and always sincere in our love as we express the truth…” (Ephesians 4:14-15) TPT
I’m reminded on windy days, watching the birds outside and seeing them “sure-footed,” stable and happy even through the windstorm. It always amazes me at the glory of God. As tiny as birds are in size, it’s like they can face any storm they are in. They still gather their food, play in the water, and seem to flutter around without any care. These tiny little creations that weigh next to nothing never seem to get tossed about.
Imagine if you or I were one of those stable birds. Without being tossed about through the life challenges that come out of nowhere, we’d be singing a different song. How wonderful the thought is to remain stable, even through a storm.🐦
We need to focus on God! May we remind ourselves of the little bird and just stand steady, stabilizing ourselves through the tough times life throws at us. They won’t last long, God says! In fact, there is scripture to back this up.
“Our troubles are small and won’t last long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever.” (2 Corinthians 4:17)
We don’t know when or where the challenges will come from, but most of us can be assured that in this life, we will face trials. God’s word tells us trials will happen. (James 1:2-4)
God says we will not easily be led astray or shaken if we are mature believers, sincere in our love and expression of truth. When our immaturity leaves us, and we are healthy and strong in our faith, we can stand through any storm that tries to take away our footing.
Let us stand firm in our foundation and stable in our stance in Christ Jesus. Amen.
