Revelation 1:13-16
“And among the lampstands was some “like the Son of Man,” dressed in a robe reaching down to His feet and with a golden sash around His chest. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In His right hand, He held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.”
Our God is regal in every way.
What a detailed and specific visual of God’s appearance and what we can expect to see on His return. His characteristics represent His authority, glory and power.
His long robe and golden sash represent His authority and the importance of who He is. His white head and hair depict His wisdom and purity, His eyes blazing with the penetrating gaze that purifies and burns the sin of the world. His feet like bronze glowing in a furnace that stomps the enemies that go against Him and crushes them into ashes.
Such is the power of the Lord, whose words are like rushing waters that cleanse the soul and allow you to start over with a new perspective on life. He is so regal, powerful, and perfect that only He can change all of them. He has the ability to end all evil and guide us to choose the right path.
Thank you, Lord, that you give hope and promise in you.
