EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Having just finished Thanksgiving last month, did we all begin this day today with a grateful heart? God deserves all our praises every day. We can pray that today is a very good day for us all, but unfortunately, there are people hurting all around us.
As tragedy happens, it’s normal to feel like life comes to a complete standstill. It could be anything at any time striking at us as mishaps come unaware…but how do we handle this kind of day when we are the ones being hit?
It’s normal that life may come to a complete halt or close to it at these times because it’s all-consuming, right? I experience this myself on occasion. I may take a complete day of downtime and not be able to even get out of my pajamas! It is okay! It’s okay for you, too! We have to give ourselves some grace.
When we don’t see the blindside coming at us, we can be assured healing and restoration are happening with God, my friends. He goes before us and already has a plan in place. He has you! He always has you.
We won’t always feel sad, and there will be an end to it because God’s promises to you are true. Read Psalm 23, especially verses 2 and 3!
“He restores your soul.” Even though you may walk through the valley of the shadow of death!
Don’t always try to get around the suffering; just let God get His arms around you! Take the moments with God that He is providing right now.
Walking step by step with Him through whatever you are dealing with in the moment, your pain will actually begin to subside. Reach up and grasp the hand of your heavenly Father who is stretching His arm and hand down to you to pull you up!
Your Father wants to comfort you and shoulder your grief. Even if your well of tears does not seem to run dry, God’s presence with you will allow you to walk through the river of grief to the other side.
God provides enough light for your next step when you surrender what your concerns are to Him. Trust Him. Where He is, if you are there with Him, you’ll be comforted. Stay close to Jesus.
“God’s tracks take us to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss; that’s where He restores and revives my life.”
(Psalm 23: 2-3).
I pray this helps you.
