EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
How many times do we put on a fake smile and shove our fears below the surface thinking we can handle the matter on our own?
We can’t. We know extremely well the enemy takes every opportunity to trip us up again and again when we refuse to deal with our fears and insecurities. They just fester into bigger issues. We shove them down deep inside, resulting in a stomach ache of deception to ourselves. We learn at a young age how to cover them up.
Throughout our lifetime, we are continuously learning there is just not enough makeup in this world to cover up all of our blemished imperfections.
Jesus has no desire to expose our nakedness to a world sneering and glaring. He hides us in the shadow of His wing. Psalm 91:1 (in fact read the entire chapter about His protection). It will bring comfort to your soul. I read Psalm 91 continuously, especially when I’m hurting.
“Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise Him again–my Savior and my God!” (Psalm 42:11)
God is constantly moving in us who believe in Jesus. He uncovers a lie so He can replace it with truth. Remember this. He puts truth where there was once a lie and we gain credibility and clarity where there once was brokenness and confusion.
Psalm 51:6 says, “Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom”.
We serve a protective God and when our fears rise up, God will surely defend and deliver us. Look to Him in every fear and in every situation of discouragement. He will sustain you.
