EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
One of the best ways we can love and trust God is in the moments of our waiting on Him.
If we can all be honest with each other, waiting isn’t fun. The silence seems to hit you in your face constantly. When there is nothing happening that you are hoping for, your discouragement rises, and panic sets in, and we can easily spiral out of control and lose it.
“In that day they will say, “Behold! This is our God! We’ve waited for him, and he saved us! This one, the Lord Yahweh-he is worth the wait! We will keep shouting with joy as we find our bliss in his salvation-kiss!” (Isaiah 25:9)
Waiting reveals things about ourselves and it often times causes us to increase our faith. Learning to do this is a process for sure. Increasing our faith is good. No, it’s great!!! Love this scripture above, taken from the Passion Translation…Yahweh, He is worth the wait!
If you begin squirming and want to take over control, fight your feelings of taking the control you want from God’s hands. He’s got it. The uncomfortable time you experience could be filled with lessons that you’ll miss if you’re busy trying to take matters into your own hands. Wait in God and on God and with God.
Don’t try to figure it out yourself; ask God to give you joy in your heart to draw closer to Him in these moments. He is worth the wait!
I’ve been in a wait for something now for 8 years of my life. It’s not easy. I hear God say to me again and again, “Be still and know that I am God.” He is God. He is working. I have learned to trust Him for Who He is in my wait on Him. Even when it seems to go on for eternity. I trust God!
Find God in your wait. Draw nearer to Him. I can tell you first-hand that it’s only enhanced my life by having more of Him every day than what I actually “think” I need. ( dealing with the loss of my children) I could never replace the joy the Lord has given in these times of tremendous wait!
Let God teach you in the discomfort of waiting. It’s worth every moment of time if you lean in to Him and learn to trust Him more than you think you ever can. You CAN!!!! And He is worth it in the wait.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
… yes, even in the wait! Love you all. 💕
