EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
While out for my early morning walk today, I took a long notice of the vibrant colors of Summer here in South Florida. It began to take my thoughts to reflections of the changing seasons in Ohio where I spent 46 years of my life. Autumn is my favorite where winter and spring have their own special moments to me. Each of the seasons up north are so drastically different that I paused to reflect the memories while on my tropical Florida walk.
What does God’s word tell us about changing seasons?
Jesus promised us in John 16:33,
“These things have I spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you will have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven…( Eccl. 3:1-8)
God is with us in EVERY season of our life. And this is the promise He has promised us. No matter what season we may be in mentally, spiritually or physically- God is VICTORIOUS. He is alive in you, is He not?
We need to notice the difference in seasons because there is nothing in the Bible to indicate that there will be a time when the seasons can not be distinguished. In fact, just the opposite. You can read about this in Genesis where after the flood, God gives His rainbow promise to Noah.
Embrace the season you are in. There is purpose inside each one. Learn from it and grow within it. These are the times God has set before you. It will most likely be changing again very soon.
