Turn Your Praise On!
Sometimes we feel like life is just getting too hard. Some of us are facing heartache right now because our spouse is not giving us what we think we need. Some of us are facing medical challenges that are monumental as we hear yet another diagnosis that is discouraging. Some of us are facing intense financial challenges as there are more bills than income. All of these challenges test our faith. The enemy loves these times. He uses these times to make us think we are not enough; we will not make it. But the word of God tells us:  Even though the fig trees have no fruit, and no grapes grow on the vines, even though the olive crop fails, and the fields produce no grain, even though the sheep all die, and the cattle stalls are empty, I will still be joyful and glad, because the Lord God is my savior. (Habakkuk 3:17-18, GNT)
These challenging times are exactly when we need to get our praise on! Turn up the volume on your favorite praise music, repeat the Word of the Lord, and stand on the firm belief that God is bigger than any of your problems. He will always be faithful, and He will see you through these difficult times. As women of faith, we are to choose joy and gladness.
One of my darkest moments was receiving a phone call that my Daddy had passed away. I was in a hotel room in Atlanta preparing for a cancer surgery. Not only was I scared of the medical outcome, now I had lost one of the great loves of my life. My only clear choice was to praise God for His faithfulness to me – and so I did. I danced around that hotel room and thanked God for His many years of faithfulness and how He blessed me with a father who had adored me as a child. I believed by faith for my healing. I let God’s light turn a very dark moment into one of light and hope.
That was three years ago, and today I’m walking in my healing. Whatever you are facing, turn your praise on! God is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. He adores you, and He wants to help you through your difficult circumstances. So let Him do so by turning your praise on!
