VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY

God Rays

Sunrises and sunsets have always reminded me that God is still holding this world in His hands.

Each one feels like a personal greeting from the Creator—a gentle reminder that His faithfulness never changes.

One evening, as I photographed the sunset on September 11, I found myself reflecting on a day marked by tremendous loss in our nation’s history. At the same time, many believers were grieving the tragic death of Christian leader Charlie Kirk, whose bold witness for Christ had impacted countless lives.

As the sun slowly disappeared below the horizon, something unexpected happened.

Two brilliant shafts of orange light stretched downward through the clouds, forming what looked remarkably like two pillars. Instantly, my thoughts returned to the Twin Towers.

It felt as though God was whispering, “I have not forgotten you. I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Tears filled my eyes as I stood in awe of His presence.

That breathtaking display reminded me that although darkness exists in our world, God is still on His throne. He sees every tear, every burden, and every heart that longs for Him.

The enemy may try to silence those who boldly proclaim the truth of Jesus Christ, but God’s truth can never be silenced.

Joshua 1:9 encourages us, “Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Like Charlie, we are called to stand courageously for Christ and faithfully share His Word, regardless of the opposition we may face.

Every sunrise. Every sunset. Every ray of light reminds us that God is still present, still faithful, and still in control. May we never lose sight of His promises—or His presence.
