“Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them. You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”
We are as close to God as we are in our prayer time with Him and the time we spend with Him in private reveals the dedication and commitment we have to appropriating the necessary time to know Him, to feel His strength, perceive His will and sense His love. There in that private cocoon, where no one else hears your thoughts, you are transparent before the Lord. That time with Him determines how close you are to the Lord and how much closer you can become if you seek His face and request of Him to be present in all His glory. Let the words of that simple but sweet song “I Love You Lord” reverberate the Love you have for the Lord.
I love you Lord, And I lift my voice
To worship you oh my soul rejoice!
Take joy my King in what You hear,
Let it be a sweet, sweet sound in Your ear.
That is where the Lord wants you. Nestled in the comfort of His arms and settled in the warmth of His presence. As we come before Him in reverence let us not forget the promise He continually keeps in (Philippians 2:13) “For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.”
