I sit here many days in this new environment as my husband and I made a recent move to a home that has acres of land with trees and a river on it. I look outside and I’m captivated by the wonderful things just beyond my window. God gets my full attention in this place. I am in frozen in awe by His handiwork.
Gazing at a little chick-a-dee eating seeds, I see the intricacies of our loving God. Looking at the sky I see color and movement bursting through the trees as eagles soar above. God knows I love animals. Every day I see gifts He bestows upon me with the many different wildlife animals He brings to my sight, just beyond my window.
Have you ever stopped to realize in the place you are standing right now, there is a gift for you? Yes! Right where you are, if you open your eyes and say thank you for it. Thank Him for where you are and what you see in the moment. God is writing a new story for you every day with Him. He will give you a new picture frame of reference if you open your heart to see it.
You can anticipate joy, and a surrounding of love that will instantly rest upon you when you change your perspective of how you view your surroundings. God does not make mistakes. You are right where you are for a reason.
“If you, imperfect as you are know how to lovingly take care of your children and give them what’s best, how much more ready is your Heavenly Father to give wonderful gifts to those who ask him?” (Matthew 7:11)
