EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
There is no place I’d rather be then sheltered under God’s wings.
Psalm 91:4 tells us of God’s protective and nurturing care, offering refuge and safety to those who trust in Him.
Here’s a deeper look at the meaning and significance.
“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings, you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” (Psalm 91:4)
Think of the imagery of “wings.” It evokes the image of a mother bird sheltering her chicks, symbolizing God’s care and protection. It gives us goosebumps to understand how much God protects us, His cherished ones. That is you!!! He is your shelter.
“Under his wings” signifies a place of safety, a sanctuary where one can find comfort and security in God’s presence. My favorite place to go.
God’s faithfulness is emphasized. It is a shield and a rampart, highlighting His unwavering commitment to His people and it gives us comfort and assurance in our difficult and most dangerous times we face.
Our bottom line is we are sheltered when we trust in God. We can seek our refuge under God’s wings knowing what the importance of trusting in God’s power and care is.
