EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Prayer is a vital way to connect with and experience God’s presence in our lives. We need prayer time as much as God desires us to pray to Him and share our gratitude over what He’s doing and also bring our needs before Him.
About a month and a half ago I went into some serious prayers over the hearts of both of my daughters, specifically for my oldest and the broken relationship that has been on-going between us for many years now.
I went on a major 40-day fast of no food and consistent prayer, which ends today. (At the end of 40 days, which is today, it’s also my oldest daughter’s “birth” day. And tomorrow is Easter. What a time of forgiveness.) I believe and have faith that miracles have been taking place all through these 40 days of prayer. I know God can manifest through prayer, revealing His grace, power, and guidance that I have trusted Him on.
My prayer conversation with God has been a way to express the needs I’ve felt over my girls even over all these years. While I’ve continually offered thanks for God’s protection of them over the years of absence in my life, I’ve also asked Him for restoration. I’ve sought the guidance of others as well as confirming it with God’s Word on how to move throughout these years in the waiting. I’ve done everything God has asked me to do on how to mend the brokeness. But I’m still believing by faith that God will move on it all, in His time.
I see how the presence and power of God have become more tangible and visible in my life, especially during this fast. What it has done in my momma’s heart is it has brought more hope! Never give up!
The extreme prayers my husband and I have had together over our kids these past weeks have truly led to even more physical and emotional healing within our bodies during this time of great intentional praying together. We have both noticed the release of changes in our bodies. We have received His divine guidance and direction through some other difficult situations that have also risen during this time of fast with other family members. So, we covered it all in this amazing time of heavy prayer. Praying for the extreme hurts of others has been so fulfilling as God has given divine direction through His Word to answer our prayers for them.
God can perform miracles in response to our prayers with Him. Please believe this! I believed He would do this from the first moment He placed fasting on my heart as a solution 40 days ago. So I entered in. It was by no means easy. I know these prayers over the past 40 days have fostered even a deeper relationship with God and they lead to even more spiritual growth in both my husband and myself.
“God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will” (Hebrews 2:4.)
So, if you believe the Bible, you know that God is a miracle-working God and a God that’s not limited in any degree or any respect because He’s totally sovereign. So, we can believe in miracles but don’t put your faith in miracles. We must put our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
There’s no problem too big for Jesus to solve (John 6:1-14.) There’s no hunger too deep for Jesus to satisfy (John 6:22-65.) There’s no person too small for Jesus to use (John 6:9) and no mountain containing layers of brokenness that can’t not be penetrated by God. Sacrifice it all to Him with a grateful heart.
“I will sacrifice to you with song of thanksgiving. I will keep my vow. Victory belongs to the LORD. !” (Jonah 2:9)
God moves on our obedience to Him. I believe we will see spiritual transformation take place in the lives of my daughters and our son over what God has done during these past 40 days. But if you would, please pray with me for the restoration of my relationship with my girls. I will gladly pray over anything that may heavily burden your soul as well. Just put it in the comments, and I will pray for YOU!
The Bible contains numerous examples of how God manifested in response to people’s prayers! He will do it for us, too! Ask and have faith and walk in obedience to what God directs for you in His Word. God healed the sick, He parted the Red Sea, and He raised the dead. He can do it for all of us. He gives us what we ask for.
Psalm 37:4 contains a great promise! “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
Completing this 40-day fast has given me an even deeper, intimate relationship with God. When we delight in Him, He will give us the desires of our hearts. To fully appreciate this promise, we must unpack its meaning and not just read about it but apply it to our lives. I hope this helps you if you’re dealing with something unspeakable. Surrender it to God alone!
Love you all.
