Are you steady? Remaining calm and confident, yet consistent can allow us to view our road we must travel ahead, a bit easier. How we respond to what comes our way can mean experiencing more peace in our lives by being consistent and pushing forward with joy.
Steadiness means “firmly fixed or placed; stable in position or equilibrium.
Steady is an important word when it comes to our walk with God in our lives. Not being interrupted by every “squirrel” that may jump in our way. I oftentimes laugh when a specific friend gets off course by yelling out, “squirrel.” We joke about it, but distractions can become time wasters. Distraction may cause us to swerve, taking us off course and into another direction we may not have anticipated.
It’s important to remain steady in God’s word. We live in a world full of sights and sounds. Wobbling about may rob us of the time to finish a task or can even stop us altogether.
God always wants us to be aware of Him. He’s placed goals and dreams in our hearts. He desires steadiness in our walk with Him each day. The apostle Paul says,
“I press tword the mark for the prize if the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:13)
As soon as something grabs your attention, talk to God about it. Don’t vere off the course. Allow God to keep you steady. God will work through you when your heart is steadfast and trusting in the Lord.
Listen to this verse, it’s amazing!
“They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Their hearts are secure; they will have no fear; in the end, they will look in triumph on their foes.” (Psalm 112: 7-8)
Steady your day, balance your weight, your Creator will help you carry your load dear sister as well as achieve your goal. Steady as you go.
