EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Many people deal with shortcomings in their lives, a fault or failure to meet a certain standard. It’s usually found in a character trait but not always does it ring true in the eyes of others that look at your life.
I have to confess, I often feel I have a shortcoming that I need to pray myself out of. No one else would say they see it in me, but I feel it’s there. Mine is a lie that gets inside my head and I could crumble to pieces feeling inadequate when it comes to intelligence. I’m often intimidated by others who may appear smarter or perhaps better equipped for a job than I am or could ever be. But God loves me in my shortcomings and I believe this wholeheartedly.
“God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. ( 1 Corinthians 1:27)
Quote: God doesn’t always call the qualified for a job, but He always qualifies the called.
I absolutely love this quote because we are always protected by God when He calls us to do something. It’s freeing to me, especially in the area of my own insecurities or shortcomings.
One thing we can lean upon despite what we “feel” about ourselves that sell us short, is that we can be assured in God’s truth and what He calls us to.
Please, may we all remind ourselves that we don’t have to be perfect for God to be active and at work within us. He perfects our willing hearts to serve Him. We can refer to this scripture when our struggles with insecurities arise and use this quote when doubts about ourselves surface.
I can honestly say God ALWAYS sees me through every learning situation with His excellence and love, even in the area of educating myself whenever I need to and I always praise Him for it.
God is active and at work in and through you at all times when you belong to Him. Whatever it is you may struggle with, He has hope for you nestled within His holy scriptures to reassure you in your insecurities. Whether it be a scripture, a parable, or a promise please search for them inside God’s word and find what it is you struggle with and receive God’s help. Believe God is at work on fixing your insecurities if you ask Him to be. God will point you toward His solution with love.
