VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Sharing Jesus and How to Do My Part
The woman at the well had every reason to believe she didn’t belong. She was a Samaritan, a woman, and someone whose life carried shame. Yet when Jesus met her, He didn’t begin with condemnation. He saw straight into her heart—and discovered a woman who deeply desired to know how to worship God.
She asked Jesus where people should worship. His answer moved beyond culture, location, and religious divisions. The question wasn’t simply where to worship, but how. Jesus told her, “The true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth” (John 4:23, NIV).
Then something extraordinary happened. This woman asked about the Messiah, and Jesus answered directly: “I, the one speaking to you—I am he” (John 4:26, NIV).
Jesus revealed Himself clearly to someone society considered among the least. And once she encountered Him, she couldn’t keep the news to herself. Leaving her water jar behind, she ran into town saying, “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?”
The very woman others knew for her brokenness became the voice God used to bring them toward Jesus.
What a lesson for us.
Sharing Jesus doesn’t require us to save anyone. Jesus saves. We serve Him. Our greatest privilege is simply bringing people into His presence, where He can work in their hearts.
So where is God asking you to carry His message? Are you willing to speak to the person others overlook? Can you trust that even your own forgiven past may become a testimony of hope?
Turn everything over to Jesus. Receive His forgiveness in the deepest crevices of your soul, then go and do your part.
Bring others to Him.
And let Jesus do what only Jesus can do.
