Garden of Time
One afternoon after Thanksgiving, I stopped to photograph a breathtaking sunset beside a cemetery called Garden of Time.
Later, as I examined the photograph, I noticed something I hadn’t seen before—a perfectly shaped heart hidden among the autumn leaves.
It reminded me how precious and fleeting life truly is.
James 4:14 tells us that our lives are like a mist, appearing for a little while before vanishing.
We don’t know when our hearts will take their final beat. But we do know eternity is real. Every day we hear about hurricanes, floods, fires, illnesses, and unexpected tragedies. Life can change in a single moment.
Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us there is a season for everything—a time to laugh, mourn, plant, build, heal, and love.
So the question becomes: What season are you in?
More importantly… Are you ready for eternity?
The beauty of a sunset reminds us that every ending also points toward hope for those who know Christ.
Don’t allow another day to pass without knowing where your eternity is secure. Life is a gift. Time is precious. And every heartbeat is an invitation to draw closer to the One who gives eternal life.
