VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Promises
I still remember the day I was baptized. As I came up out of the water, I felt a profound sense of peace and freedom. It was a beautiful reminder that through Christ, we are made new.
Romans 6:4 says, “We too may live a new life.”
Recently, while attending a baptism service at church, I witnessed another beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness. Several people were being baptized, publicly declaring their commitment to Christ. As rain came and went throughout the ceremony, I stepped under a tent and looked up.
There, stretched across the sky, was a rainbow.
Immediately, I thought about God’s promises.
Throughout Scripture, the rainbow symbolizes God’s covenant faithfulness. It reminds us that God keeps His word. It reminds us that even when storms come—and they will come—He remains present and trustworthy.
God never promised a life free from hardship. He never promised there would be no storms. What He did promise is that He would never leave us or forsake us.
The rainbow appears after the rain, reminding us that hope still exists on the other side of difficult seasons.
The next time you see a rainbow, pause for a moment. Let it remind you of God’s goodness. Let it remind you of His protection, faithfulness, and love.
Matthew 28:20 declares, “Surely I am with you always.”
What a promise!
There is no greater treasure than knowing the One who walks with us through every storm and awaits us on the other side of eternity. His promises are sure, and His faithfulness never fails.
