VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Exuding God-fidence

Have you ever faced a situation that felt bigger than your abilities? Maybe it was a job loss, a new opportunity, a difficult season, or a dream that seemed just out of reach. I know I have. There were times when insecurity and self-doubt convinced me I wasn’t qualified, capable, or strong enough. I spent years trying to be the strong one—the planner, the fixer, the woman who had it all together. But eventually, I learned that even the strongest woman runs out of strength.

One of the most freeing lessons God taught me was that I was never meant to carry everything on my own. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” For years, I focused on the “I can do all things” part while overlooking the true source of my strength: Christ.
That realization led me to what I call “God-fidence.” God-fidence is exchanging self-reliance for God-reliance. It’s trusting that God is already at work, even when we don’t have all the answers. It’s walking forward with confidence, not because of our abilities, but because of His faithfulness.

When we humble ourselves, surrender our need for control, and replace fear with God’s truth, we begin to experience a peace and boldness that only He can provide. His grace becomes enough. His strength becomes our strength.

Second Corinthians 12:9 reminds us, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

The next time insecurity tries to convince you that you’re not enough, remember this: God never asked you to be enough. He simply asks you to trust Him. When you do, you’ll discover that confidence rooted in Christ is stronger than any confidence you could ever manufacture on your own.
