VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Who Do You Associate With?
Sometimes, the most powerful lessons come from unexpected places.
A single moment… a single observation… can reveal something deeper.
As I held a beautiful owl that had been unknowingly poisoned, I was struck by the reality of what had happened. It wasn’t the owl itself—it was what it had consumed. The environment it had been exposed to.
And in that moment, the parallel became clear.
“Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.’” —1 Corinthians 15:33 (NIV)
What we surround ourselves with matters.
The voices we listen to.
The environments we remain in.
The influences we allow to shape us.
Over time, they affect our spirit.
They can either strengthen… or slowly poison.
But there is hope.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted…” —Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
We are not meant to remain in places that crush our spirit.
We are invited to come to Him—to be restored, renewed, and healed from the inside out.
And as we do, we are no longer held back by what once weighed us down.
We rise.
Stronger.
Freer.
Aligned with who He created us to be.
So the question remains…
Who do you choose to associate with?
