VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
An Unlikely Visit

There are moments when God asks us to do something that feels… impossible. For me, it was visiting the man who caused the accident that took my friend’s life.

From the very beginning, I knew one day I would meet him. Not because it made sense—but because I felt God whisper it to my heart. Years later, that moment came. After his conviction, I saw not just a man responsible for pain—but a man who was broken. A man who needed Jesus.

So I wrote him a letter. A letter of forgiveness. “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.” —Matthew 6:14 (NLT)

When he responded, I knew it was time. Sitting across from him in that prison room, my heart pounded. I didn’t know what to expect—but I knew why I was there.
To share Jesus.
To extend forgiveness.
To be obedient.
I looked at him and said, “I forgive you. I am here because of Jesus.” And in that moment, God’s peace filled the room. I realized something powerful—obedience doesn’t require full understanding. It simply requires trust.

God had prepared my heart long before I stepped into that prison. And I believe seeds were planted that day—seeds only God can grow. “El Roi”—the God who sees—saw me in my pain… and He sees him too.
He sees all of us.
And when we walk in obedience, even in the hardest moments, we can trust Him with the outcome.
