VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
Out With the Old, You’ve Been Renewed

I have a stack of old journals I’ve held onto for years.
They’re filled with memories—many I’d rather forget. And yet, I can’t bring myself to throw them away. They remind me of who I was… and how far God has brought me.

Without Jesus, those pages would bring shame. But because of Him, they bring freedom.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” —2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)

My journey hasn’t been a dramatic, overnight transformation. It’s been a lifelong relationship—one that has grown over time, shaped by grace and mercy.
And still, He calls me new.

When we hold onto shame, it’s as if we’re saying His sacrifice wasn’t enough. But every day, we are invited to lay our past at the cross and step fully into the identity He has given us.

“But because of his great love for us… it is by grace you have been saved.” —Ephesians 2:4–5 (NIV)

This doesn’t mean we live carelessly—it means we live freely.
Renewed.
Restored.
Redeemed.

Each day is a new beginning in Christ.
