VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY:
An Ordinary Woman
Throughout Scripture we see God working through ordinary women to accomplish extraordinary things.
Esther was a young orphan raised by her cousin Mordecai. In God’s perfect timing, she became queen of Persia and used her position to save the Jewish people from destruction.
Rahab was known for her sinful past, yet God used her courage to protect Israelite spies and become part of His redemption story.
The Samaritan woman at the well was an outcast in her community. Yet when she encountered Jesus, her life changed. Her testimony led many others to believe in Him.
And Mary, a young woman from Nazareth, was chosen by God to bring the Savior into the world.
Each of these women may have seemed ordinary by the world’s standards. Yet their faith and willingness to obey God allowed Him to accomplish incredible things through their lives.
The same truth applies to us today.
Scripture reminds us that we are created in God’s image and designed with purpose:
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14)
God calls each of us to walk with courage, compassion, and faith.
He entrusts us with caring for our families, loving those around us, and sharing His truth with the world. When we place our trust in Him and follow His guidance, we become part of His greater plan.
You may see yourself as an ordinary woman.
But when God works through your life, extraordinary things can happen.
