VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
A Summer for the Soul
“This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24, NLT)
As summer approaches whatever season we’re in right now, we’re reminded of the warmth, light, and beauty God pours out through His creation. But even more than a change in weather, there is an invitation for summer in our souls. When the Son of God is radiating within us, we can walk in contentment and peace — no matter what season of life we find ourselves in.
This summer, may we intentionally draw closer to the Lord. Let us place ourselves fully in His hands and trust Him to bless us and our families. Whether traveling, resting, or simply enjoying quieter days, may God’s presence bring light to your path and warmth to your heart. As you experience the beauty of creation — the mountains, the birds, the breeze, the sunlight — may God create in you a pure heart and a deeper hunger and thirst for Him.
As you go about your days, remember to pause.
“Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10, NIV).
In those quiet moments, allow His peace to settle over you. True inner peace is a rare and precious treasure.
No matter where life takes you, keep your focus on Him. “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you” (Isaiah 26:3, NLT). Be thankful for the “Son”shine in every season — a reminder that God’s sustaining love is active and alive within you.
Pray words of praise when your heart feels full. Offer gratitude for friendships and joyful moments. And when you fall short, return to Him in humility and confession. Stay close to God, and He will stay close to you.
May this season be filled with extravagant love, unending joy, and the lasting peace of Jesus Christ. To God be the glory — now and forever..
