VOICE OF TRUTH FOR TODAY
The Plan

Are you a planner? Do you make Plan A, Plan B, and even Plan C—hoping one of them works out? I do. And yet, no matter how carefully we plan, life often takes unexpected turns. That’s when we’re reminded of a powerful truth: we are part of a much bigger plan—God’s plan.
Scripture assures us there is a reason we are here, right now, in this season. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord… “plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV). God knew us before we were formed, set us apart before we were born, and even knows the number of hairs on our heads (Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 10:30). Nothing about our lives is accidental.

As followers of Christ, our steps are ordered by God. “The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him” (Psalm 37:23–24, NIV).

Even when we stumble, He upholds us. God’s plan includes guidance through the Holy Spirit, provision for every need, and strength when we feel weak. His grace truly is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9).

God’s plan is also filled with promises. He will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). He forgives, heals, teaches, and lovingly counsels us (Psalm 103:3; Psalm 32:8). When we humble ourselves, pray, and seek Him, He hears us and responds with mercy and restoration (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Perhaps the most comforting truth of all is this: God’s plan is far better than anything we could design on our own. He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in us (Philippians 1:6). As we seek Him, trust Him, and surrender our plans to Him, we can rest in confidence—knowing His way is always best.
