EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:

Living in a time of escalating fear in life, whether it be our own health scares, financial fears, different world views or inside family traumas, it may not only be traumatizing, but fear can be deadly to our health. Not all fear is bad, though. Being afraid of something is not wrong, but when we harbor fear, entertain it and let it grow inside of us, then it’s a problem.

Fearing God, for instance, is a good fear. A good, healthy fear will cause us to do healthy, productive things.

“God did not give us a Spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

Don’t allow destructive fear to take over your being. Most times, you are not in total control of what’s making you fearful anyway. We see enough of fear that rises every day by people’s perspectives on things. People’s fear can begin overtaking their actions.

We as women leaders must take our fears to the Lord in prayer whenever they hit us. Let God set us free by the power of His Holy Spirit alive in each of you. If you do this, I promise He will rescue you from the torment that surrounds you because of fear! Instead, you will be encompassed with God’s love as you pray your heart to Him in that moment. Surrender fear to God. Ask Him to take over your thoughts in the situation at hand.

God will keep your mind sound and give you perfect peace if it is stayed on Him.

“You will keep in perfect peace, him whose mind is fixed on God.” (Isaiah 26:3)

The most important thing we can do when we feel afraid is to call upon God and ask Him to protect us and free us from what we are fearing.

“Fight the good fight” in prayer. (1 Tim. 6:12)
Allow God the entrance in your heart to keep you in peace through any on-going war that is raging in your life. God has you. He won’t let go of you. Trust Him by faith and read His promises over your life. Speak them out loud. Shout them when you feel overtaken. GOD HAS YOU! He is in control, always.
