EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
We need God’s covering. I know that I am under God’s umbrella of protection but I have a choice to stay or not, we all have choices. I can’t tell you how many times in my past I’ve walked out of that covering of protection. I don’t mean to, but I found myself looking up, drenched with waters of consequences pounding on my face, it never resulted with good outcome.
Just because we walk with the Lord, it does not make us immune to this problem. We have daily choices to be made to stay under God’s protection.
We may think we know Gods will for our situation but we need to ask Him for “His” wisdom and guidance in every decision. Don’t step out from under His umbrella covering by making your own choices. The various choices, the things of God, can only be discerned in the spirit. We need to pray having these in mind. Again, always ask God for His wisdom and His guidance through the power of the Holy Spirit living within you if you know Jesus personally as Lord and Savior.
Someone living on an entirely “human level” rejects the revelations of God’s spirit, for they make no sense to him because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14)
~ Be in the Word of God daily
~Acknowledge the Lord in everything
~Walk in reverence of God
~Listen to wise people
~Walk in obedience
~Be humble
~Love your neighbor
~Seek God first
~Pray for wisdom
Pray daily for God’s wisdom, this will give you the ability to be confident in your choices. (James 1:5)
Stay under Gods “umbrella”, His covering, there is no place more secure for our hearts to be.
