EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
How do you handle a major setback in your life? Personally, I have found that many strong believers have had some disruption in their lives that put them into a “search mode.” I know I set out to search for answers of why…searching for solutions. But how do we search for the right solution (God) or point others ultimately to find God in times of a crisis or being caught off guard?
Oftentimes, searching for God comes when someone faces a situation in which they have no control. The closer the crisis is, then all the more intense the search for God’s help intensifies and usually becomes stronger. Let’s try to head off the search. Find God in the now and cast all your cares upon Him.
To resolve any disruption going on around a person, taking one’s self on a journey involving seeking God first is where it must begin.
This is what the Bible instructs.
(Matthew 6:33), “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness”… it is there you’ll find answers in your search.
Then, it involves becoming the right person, filled with the right kind of love and watching your own life transform. It brings a person into a confidence that nothing or anyone can alter. The search becomes nothing more than casting your setback in God’s hands because you trust Him. It can show others a beautiful testimony of confidence in God that they would want or admire as well.
Others will know we are Christ followers by our love and our guidance through Him alone.
Then, we get to take others on the journey with us. Just as Christ said, “follow me” to His disciples, we should bring others on the journey to follow Jesus with us. How can YOU do this?
It all begins with “seeking FIRST-the kingdom of God” and watch the disruption you are experiencing dissipate before your eyes. You, too, can be the leader God has called you to be. Disruption falls by the wayside as you seek – God – first in your search for answers.
