EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” (Galatians 5:1)How many times do we feel ourselves trapped in a foothold? We lose our freedom to move about in what God has called us to.The foothold is nasty and sometimes becomes painful. We can walk right into it without even knowing we stepped into one, and soon, we feel the tension tightening until we are trapped. The grip holds on to us, and our movement is debilitated. Sin doesn’t just happen. We get caught in a foothold, and it tightens its grip on our life, and soon, our ability to serve God with freedom slowly disappears.Scripture warns us not to get enslaved to things that never satisfy. It can turn to sin without being aware.Today, be aware of the plan you have for your day ahead. Include God in it. Don’t get caught up in a trap and then lose your freedom.“A person may have many ideas concerning God’s plan for his life, but only the designs of his purpose will succeed in the end.” (Proverbs 16:22)Stick to your focus on God and His Word today. The freedom that comes from His plan for your day is the only way to breathe freely without that heavy grip holding you back.
