EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
How many times do we put on a fake smile and shove our fears and failures below the surface? Guilty or not guilty?
We know darn well the enemy takes every opportunity to trip us up again and again, and we refuse to deal with our fears and insecurities. We shove them down deep inside, resulting in a stomach ache of deception to ourselves.
We learn at a young age to cover up things we fear or are uncomfortable with.
Throughout our lifetime, we learn there is just not enough makeup to cover up all of our imperfections and insecurities as well as fears.
Jesus has no desire to expose our nakedness to a world sneering and glaring and looking for our every mistake! He takes our fears and failures, and instead of exposing us to harm and ridicule, He hides us in the shadow of His wing. (Psalm 91:1)(in fact, read the entire chapter about His protection).
Psalm 91 will bring comfort to your soul. It’s a chapter I read continuously, especially when I’m hurting.
God uncovers the lies we believe so He can replace them with truth. Remember this. He puts truth where there was once a lie, and we gain credibility and clarity where there once was brokenness and confusion.
Psalm 51:6 says, “Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.”
Thank You, God! We serve a protective God, and when our fears rise up, God will surely defend and deliver us. Look to Him in every fear, every missed attempt at something good for your life, and every incident you feel alone and afraid in. God never leaves you or forsakes you. He covers you in the feathers of His wings like a mother bird covers her tweets to protect them in the nest.
