“Dig deep in the Word”
I’m seeing and hearing from others that they feel fear is overtaking so many. This pandemic has run its course but lives are still crippled by fear.
In speech and what others verbally say in a roundabout way, people are feeling God has lost sight of them. They feel alone, depressed, defeated, and faint in heart.
If this is you today, if you are still saddened by this new world and how people are dealing with the pandemic, please don’t lose sight of the fact that God loves you. You are not alone.
God is with you today, this very day, and He has given you authority over this storm. Though the elements rage against you and others around you, they don’t have the power to take you out.
You belong to the King! Always keep the right perspective of God. Be bold in your prayers, no matter what you see going down around you. Allow God’s word to penetrate your hearts and minds. There is strength in God’s word.
Stay the course dear woman of God. Be guided by God’s wisdom (James 1:5) be strengthened by His might (Isaiah41:10) be shielded by His love (Psalm 32). The scriptures are full of His answers and promises.  Dig deep to find them.
Keep your will united with the will of God and pray in that way. Defeat will be impossible because God is invincible!

Escucho una y otra vez en estos días que el miedo se apodera de muchos. Esta pandemia ha seguido su curso, pero las vidas todavía están paralizadas por el miedo. En conversaciones  y lo que otros dicen verbalmente en forma indirecta, la gente siente que Dios los ha perdido de vista. Se sienten solos, deprimidos, derrotados y débiles de corazón.
Si esta eres tu hoy, si todavía estás triste por este nuevo mundo y cómo la gente está lidiando con la pandemia, no pierdas de vista el hecho de que Dios te ama. No estás sola.
Dios está contigo hoy, este mismo día, y te ha dado autoridad sobre esta tormenta. Aunque los elementos se enfurecen contra ti y los que te rodean, no tienen el poder para eliminarte.
¡Eres del Rey! Mantén siempre una perspectiva correcta de Dios. Se audaz en tus oraciones, sin importar lo que veas a tu alrededor. Permitan que la palabra de Dios penetre en sus corazones y mentes. Hay fuerza en la palabra de Dios.
Mantén el rumbo querida mujer de Dios. Se guiada por la sabiduría de Dios (Santiago 1:5) se fortalecida por Su poder (Isaías 41:10) se protegida por Su amor (Salmo 32). Las Escrituras están llenas de Sus respuestas y promesas. Profundiza para encontrarlos.
Mantén tu voluntad unida a la voluntad de Dios y ora de esa manera. ¡La derrota será imposible porque Dios es invencible!

Esta canción de 2 minutos me fue enviada para alegrar mi día hace aproximadamente un mes. Lloré. Mi corazón se derritió al escuchar a esta preciosa niña cantar desde a Jesús desde su corazón. Rápidamente le pedí a su madre que escribiera una publicación para esto para que pudiéramos compartir ambas contigo. ¡Aquí está! bendiciones.
Corazón de un niño

Oh, tener el corazón de un niño. Mi hija mayor me dio esta letra una vez, “Ojalá estuviera desnudo como el mar abierto”. Si supiera que está recitando algo con lo que la mayoría de nosotros podemos relacionarnos. La vida duele, la gente nos defrauda, ​​los sueños fallan y, a veces, incluso nos fallamos a nosotros mismos. Esto puede hacer que el alma se sienta cansada y el corazón duro. Entonces, no encuentro ninguna coincidencia que estos versos casi idénticos estén colocados en tres libros diferentes:
Y él dijo: “En verdad les digo que a menos que cambien y se vuelvan como niños, nunca entrarán en el reino de los cielos”.
Mateo 18: 3 (NVI)
“De cierto os digo que el que no reciba el reino de Dios como un niño, no entrará jamás en él”. Lucas 18:17 (NVI) y Marcos 10:15 (NVI)
Estas declaraciones no fueron hechas por cualquiera, fueron las palabras del mismo Jesús. Creo que Jesús realmente estaba tratando de expresarnos el deseo más profundo del corazón del Padre. Cuando la Biblia se repite, ¡es importante! Dios quiere que vayamos a Él con nuestros corazones frágiles y expuestos, pero seguros de Su fuerza y ​​consolados por Su presencia.
Todo este devocional llegó a ser a través del corazón de un niño. Estaba trabajando en una grabación, cuando vino mi hijo menor a verme. “¡Quiero cantar mami!” Ella exclamo. Configuré el micrófono y le di los auriculares. No tenía idea de lo que iba a cantar, asumí que era una canción infantil, pero en cambio ella le cantó directamente desde su corazón a Jesús. Fue un momento de orgullo para mí como su madre, pero no puedo atribuirme el mérito de su corazón, eso es todo el Señor.
Mientras reproducía su canción, me sorprendió lo estrechamente alineada que estaba con las escrituras reales.
• Le dice a Dios quién sabe que es, “el que creó la naturaleza”.
• Expresa su amor, agradecimiento y necesidad de Dios.
• Le recuerda a Dios sus buenas obras y su fidelidad, “¡guíanos siempre a través de la niebla!”
• Le deja saber a Dios que ella canta por una razón diferente a quien es Él, “¡solo quiero cantar, por ti!”
• Termina la canción con gratitud por el gozo que le brinda la adoración. “¡Me encanta cantar, siempre!”
Oro para que su corazón esté siempre tan abierto al Espíritu Santo. Oro para que Su presencia la deje con un hambre cada vez mayor de la palabra de Dios. Que anhelaría la leche espiritual. 1 Pedro 2: 2 dice esto: “Como bebés recién nacidos, anhelen leche espiritual pura, para que por ella puedan crecer en su salvación”. El deseo de Dios no es que los creyentes permanezcan como niños en el pensamiento, sino como niños en el deseo de la Palabra de Dios. Así como la supervivencia de un bebé depende de su sed de leche, nuestra salvación se sustenta en nuestro hambre de estar en Su presencia.
¿Qué mejor razón para volver a ser un niño que porque el Señor te lo pide? Oro por mí y por cada creyente, para que seamos cristianos que entremos a la presencia de Dios frágiles, hambrientos y esperando ser satisfechos.

Heart of a Child

Oh, to have the heart of a child.  My older daughter gave me this lyric once, “wish I were bare like the open sea”.  If she only knew she was reciting something most of us can relate to.  Life hurts, people let us down, dreams fail, and sometimes we even fail ourselves.  This can leave a soul feeling jaded and the heart hard. So, I find it no coincidence that these almost identical verses are placed in three different books:
And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 18:3(NIV)
“Truly I say to you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Luke 18:17 (NIV) and Mark 10:15 (NIV)
These statements weren’t made by just anyone, they were the words of Jesus himself.  I think Jesus was really trying to express to us the deepest desire of the Father’s heart.  When the Bible repeats itself, it’s important!  God wants us to come to Him with our hearts fragile and exposed but sure of His strength and comforted by His presence.
This whole devotional came to be thru the heart of a child. I was working on a recording when my youngest came in to see me. “I want to sing mommy!” she exclaimed.  I set up the microphone and gave her the headphones.  I had no idea what she was going to sing, I assumed a kid’s song, but instead, she sang straight from her heart to Jesus.  It was a proud moment for me as her mom, but I can’t take credit for her heart, that is all the Lord.
As I replayed her song, I was amazed at how closely aligned it was with actual scripture.
• Tells God who she knows him to be, “the one who created nature”.
• States her love, thanks, and need for God.
• Reminds God of His good deeds and faithfulness, “lead us thru the mist always!”
• Let’s God know she sings for other reason than who He is, “just want to sing, because of you!”
• Ends the song with gratitude for the joy that worship gives her.  “Love to sing, always!”
I pray her heart always stays so open to the Holy Spirit.  I pray that His presence leaves her with an ever-increasing hunger for God’s word.  That she would crave spiritual milk.  1 Peter 2:2 Says this, “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.”  God’s desire is not for believers to stay childlike in thinking, but childlike in desire for the Word of God.  As a baby’s survival depends on its thirst for milk, so our salvation is sustained by our hunger to be in His presence.
What better reason to be a kid again than because the Lord asks you to?  I pray for myself as well as every believer, that we would be Christians who enter the presence of God fragile, hungry, and expecting to be satisfied.

EMPOWERING LIVES WITH PURPOSE:
Hands to Heaven

This song was birthed out of a lot of pain.  I was struggling at the time with severe depression and anxiety. It took all my strength to pray, and the thought of worship seemed impossible.  I was given a card with Isaiah 41:10,
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.”
 Those words were so encouraging to me and led me to Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV.
“Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you, he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
For me, the “them” was the voices in my head telling me I was a failure, that because I was struggling, I shouldn’t come to God.  I was thankful for the encouragement the Word had given me, but I wasn’t sure what to do next.  God then led me to the answer once again: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV.
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances: for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
In the pain, I made a conscious decision to lift my hands and worship.  I got on my knees, and I prayed.  At first, it felt so awkward, and I wanted to quit, but I kept worshiping.  It was in that place of brokenness I found what willingness is.  I learned that my human thoughts and feelings cannot be depended upon-but God’s Word can!
So today I encourage you, lift your hands in worship and bow your head to pray.  No matter the circumstance God’s word is still true.  He is with you and waiting to meet you wherever you are.  Don’t let feelings cloud your faith!

Manos al cielo

Esta canción nació de mucho dolor. En ese momento estaba luchando contra una depresión y ansiedad severas. Me tomó todas mis fuerzas orar, y la idea de la adoración parecía imposible. Me dieron una tarjeta con Isaías 41:10,
“Así que no temas, porque yo estoy contigo; no desmayes, porque yo soy tu Dios ”.
 Esas palabras fueron muy alentadoras para mí y me llevaron a Deuteronomio 31: 6 NVI.
“Se fuerte y valiente. No temas ni te asustes por ellos, porque el Señor tu Dios va contigo, nunca te dejará ni te desamparará ”.
Para mí, el “ellos” eran las voces en mi cabeza que decían que era un fracaso, que debido a que estaba luchando, no debería acudir a Dios. Estaba agradecida por el aliento que me había dado la Palabra, pero no estaba segura de qué hacer a continuación. Entonces Dios me condujo a la respuesta una vez más: 1 Tesalonicenses 5:18 NVI.
“Regocíjense siempre, oren continuamente, den gracias en toda circunstancia: porque esta es la voluntad de Dios para ustedes en Cristo Jesús”.
En el dolor, tomé la decisión consciente de levantar mis manos y adorar. Me arrodillé y oré. Al principio me sentí muy incómoda y quise dejarlo, pero seguí adorando. Fue en ese lugar de quebrantamiento donde encontré lo que es la voluntad. Aprendí que no se puede depender de mis pensamientos y sentimientos humanos, ¡pero sí de la Palabra de Dios!
Así que hoy las animo a que levanten las manos en adoración e inclinen la cabeza para orar. No importa la circunstancia, la palabra de Dios sigue siendo cierta. Él está contigo y esperando conocerte donde sea que estés. ¡No dejes que los sentimientos empañen tu fe!

“TEACHABLE MOMENTS”
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) NIV
This past year I went thru a dark period of depression and anxiety.  The thoughts flooding my mind were not from God, but I did not know how to quiet them.  A sweet friend gave me a list of negative thoughts and corresponding Bible verses to fight those thoughts off.  I’d never done anything like it before, but it worked.  Not immediately, but over time I’ve begun replacing lies with the Word of God.
(Ephesians 6:11) NIV says, “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
 Later in verse 17, we are told of our greatest weapon: “The sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.”
I realized that no one had ever taught me how to defend myself spiritually, and I too had yet to teach my children!  It’s natural to avoid things we don’t fully understand so maybe that’s what I did.   But God knew this and gave us a manual for this temporary life. It’s said while children are little we are still the experts!
I wanted to take advantage of that and find a way to impart the concept of taking captive our thoughts and replacing them with God’s Word and teach it to my kids.  That is how this song Warrior came to be.
Recently I had the opportunity to sing it with my daughter for her class. I was so touched when she asked if I was coming in for Community Helper Week and suggested I sing a song.
Knowing most parents would be coming in to share about being a nurse, policeman, fireman etc., I felt unqualified as a stay-at-home mom to come forward with something. Her asking helped me to see that my little ministry of songwriting indeed qualified me and prompted me to go.
I got to talk with the kids about the armor of God and leave the school knowing I planted a seed.
That day of sharing was such a blessing and I almost missed it because I was afraid to be different.  Had I held back because I felt unqualified, my daughter would never have learned the life lessons I hope she did that day.
We got to sing about the Bible and lead by example and that it’s ok to talk about God.  I was able to show her that having hope in Jesus is something to be proud of and that on days we feel no hope we can find it again in His Word.  I know both my daughters have this song memorized and “ready” for when they need it. Best of all, my daughter got to experience the blessing of proclaiming God’s truth to others.
My daughters watched my battle with depression and have seen how I fought thru and how I still fight every day, it’s an ongoing battle.  As parents, we feel we should have all the answers but it’s ok to let them know that sometimes you don’t. Walk humbly with your God and lead by example.  I hope my daughters see me walking in honest humility and leaning on the Lord for all my strength because that is where strength awaits.
 It is my hope that their little eyes see a mother that leads by example, watching me in the Word of God and daily pick up my shield and sword.  It is my prayer that I can take advantage of any teachable moments so that when they find themselves face to face against the enemy, they are ready to fight like a warrior!

Tal vez recuerdes a Brenda, ya que compartió una entrevista de podcast con mujeres líderes mundiales hace 2 meses sobre “adicción”. Escúchala cuando tenga la oportunidad.
“Te levantarás”
  Escribí esta canción para inspirar y animar a dos de mis amigas, que regresaron a la universidad más tarde en la vida para perseguir sus sueños. Ambas se graduaron el mismo mes y me invitaron a cantar esta canción en una de sus graduaciones. ¡Oro para que esta canción toque los corazones de todos los que escuchan!
El Señor puso la letra en mi corazón para animar a las personas y recordarnos que Dios nos levantará y nos guiará hacia nuestro propósito, si confiamos en Él y le obedecemos. ¡Sus promesas son verdaderas y Él no nos fallará! Nos dice que nos creó para buenas obras que le traerán gloria, ¡incluso antes de que naciéramos!
Efesios 2:10 Porque somos hechura suya, creados en Cristo Jesús para buenas obras, las cuales Dios preparó de antemano para que caminemos en ellas.
¡Tiene mucho más reservado para todos nosotros, más allá de lo que podemos imaginar! Efesios 3:20 Ahora bien, al que puede hacer inconmensurablemente más de lo que pedimos o imaginamos, según su poder que obra en nosotros.
Jeremías 29:11: “Porque sé los planes que tengo para ti”, declara el SEÑOR, “planes para prosperar y no dañarte, planes para darte esperanza y un futuro”.
Nos pide que nos unamos a Él en esta misión para alcanzar a los perdidos y salvar vidas … y promete darnos los deseos de nuestro corazón mientras caminamos con Él. Debemos someternos al proceso de transformación del Espíritu Santo y llegar a ser más como Cristo, para que podamos ser siervas de todos, con un corazón humilde.
Si simplemente mantenemos nuestros ojos en Él y nunca nos damos por vencidos … Él nos llevará justo donde debemos estar en el momento perfecto. Él nos levantará para ser todo lo que Él nos creó para ser, y nos colocará en posiciones que permitan que Su Luz brille a través de nosotras. ¡Gloria a Dios, Él es fiel para completar lo que comienza!

You may remember Brenda as she has shared a podcast interview with women world leaders 2 months ago on “addiction”. Please listen when you have the opportunity.
May you read the words-then listen to the song and worship our Lord.
“You Will Rise”
 I wrote this song to inspire and encourage two of my girlfriends, who went back to college later in life to follow their dreams.  They both graduated the same month and I was invited to sing this song at one of their graduations.    I pray that this song will touch the hearts of everyone who listens!
The Lord put the lyrics in my heart to uplift people and remind us that God will raise us up and lead us into our purpose if we will trust and obey Him…His promises are true and He will not fail us!   He tells us that He created us for good works that will bring Him Glory, even before we were born!
Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
He has so much more in store for us all, beyond what we can imagine!   Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.
Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
He’s asking us to join Him in this mission to reach the lost and save lives.. and He promises to give us the desires of our hearts while we’re walking with Him.   We must submit to the transformation process of the Holy Spirit and become more like Christ, so we can be servants to all, with a humble heart.
If we just keep our eyes on Him and never give up… He will get us right where we need to be at the perfect time.  He will lift us up to be all that He created us to be, and He will put us in positions that allow His Light to shine bright through us.  Glory to God, He is faithful to complete what He starts!

Encouraging one another through our personal stories is a large part of who we are at Women World Leaders.
All through scripture, we see how God placed women together in relationships to encourage one another. Just as God sent Mary to Elizabeth and Ruth to Naomi, He continues to place women together for mutual support, love, accountability, and friendship.
Meet Janet Berrong, one of our founding Leaders in WWL’S and  Author in the #1 Best Seller- Tears to Triumph. WWL’S  made this video for our Soul Healing Summit which has encouraged so many lives already.
Although what Janet shares is tragic, the outcome reveals God’s purpose in her life.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)
