How much do we consider the health of our hearts? I think about it often since heart issues run on both sides of my family tree. However, the heart health issues I am speaking of today are our “inner hearts.”
” But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” ( 1 Samuel 16:7)
Isn’t it comforting to know that God does not judge us in the same way other people judge us, or even in the harsh way we sometimes judge ourselves? God is concerned with what is inside our hearts.
God doesn’t place value on our outward looks or where we rank on social media, our financial status, or any other external things the world may consider important.
As I listened to my Bible app this morning, God said David was a man after God’s own heart. David’s social status within his family was so low that he wasn’t even called in from the fields to meet with Samuel. But David was God’s choice to become king over Israel, and from his family line, we’d see a Savior that God would provide to us!
God didn’t see David the way his own family saw him, remember this.
Sometimes others don’t see you the way God sees you. God is always looking at your heart’s attitude. He knows your thoughts dear one, He knows your motives. He knows it all.
I examine my heart as often as I think about it, which is daily. It’s part of my prayer time with the Lord. Are my motives right? Is God able to use my heart to help others today? I, for one, know if God can use a young shepherd like David, he can most definitely use me or any of us in a big way, a mighty way just as He used David.
We need to make our hearts available to God’s power to see what amazing things He can and will do through us.
I feel the need to share my life verse yet again. I hope you’ll take time to look it up in different versions.. Today’s version is the NIV.
” Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” (Ephesians 3:20)

Today’s monologue devotional is brought to you and spoken by Donna Clare from the United Kingdom.
Listen below on the link and hear the biblical story come alive in your mind as Donna shares. It’s very inspirational.
What you are about to listen to is a monologue to sure the heart of a woman –
It’s about Mary of Bethany as in John’s Gospel who gave her everything for Jesus because of all He had done for her.
It is about being fixed on Jesus and giving Him your all in worship no matter what is going on around you or what others may think.  He is worthy and He deserves all our praises! May this bless your hearts in Jesus today.

We give the enemy opportunity to trip us up again and again when we refuse to deal with our fears and insecurities. Often we walk around with the weight of the world on our shoulders and it is obvious to others, but do we really need to do this?
We miss out on the redemptive life when we shove our fears below the surface and put on a fake smile. Yes, we can carry weight and burdens but God tells us to cast our cares on Him, do you listen and give your worries to Jesus?
We learn at a young age to cover up our imperfections. The problem is, there’s not enough makeup in the world to make us whole. We can put a bandaid on boo boo’s to somewhat fix them temporarily or even hide the wound- but the wound is still there, only hidden… underneath it’s still there and most likely so is the pain.
If we really want to know true beauty, if we really want to live full and free lives, we have to give God access to those places we work so hard to cover up. Are you covering up a wound, acting as if life is grand? Think about it.
Be real with God.
Be vulnerable with others.
 We are all human together.
Mistakes happen, hurts come, doubts and fears can settle upon us, issues raise their ugly heads often, but don’t give in to carrying it all alone.
When the weight is heavy God says what???
“Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.” ( 1 Peter 5:7)
Don’t let go of this scripture. Hide it in your heart and give it ALL to Jesus in your prayer time. Amen.

So many of our Women World Leaders are in continuous grief in their lives. Their prayer requests are for deep “loss” within. We see it, we hear about it and we feel for them.
There is hope.
God’s healing in grief is “tender” and it’s “intentional.”
When you have nothing left, no strength of your own, God will come close and lie next to you. He is the only one who can absorb your pain.
God watched His own Son die and knows the anguish that you are experiencing and He is able to heal your anguish but you must come to Him and trust Him.
God can ever so gently, with compassion and unexplainable power, whisper words to you that you will most definitely feel. This will happen as you invite Him in close to you. Communicate with God.
Trust Him, listen for Him, and listen for His Words of hope because they are there. They are in the stillness, the quiet place of His Word. He has a plan for you.
Drench yourself into God’s Word and let His true love for you become your song. You can do this. He can lift you from your heaviness and replace your agony and emptiness with the same power that rose Jesus from the grave, but you must trust Him to do this. Please go within His Holy Word for your help. Over and over as long as it takes, HE WILL COMFORT YOU THERE.
If grief has stolen your joy, and soreness has robbed your freedom, please pray to God in your weakness and then ask Him to hold you, heal you and lift the pain from your heart.
Do this every time you hurt. If you pray all day, so be it, then pray all day to your Father in heaven who hears every word you utter! He wants to hear all your words all day long! It is called a relationship. Grow your relationship with the One who can work miracles in you. You talk with whom you are involved with, right? Talk to Him.
Talk and talk and talk to God each day. Then read and read and read His Word. God will answer your cry while you are grieving, look to Him and stay there.
” Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy burdened, and I will give you rest.” ( Matthew 11:28)
God will meet you where you are.

The high destiny of the individual is to serve rather than to rule.   -Albert Einstein
Esther 4:16 reveals a crossroads we must all face. Would Esther respond to the call of God to do something significant in her life? This had made me think hard about serving the Lord vs looking for something significant that will be noticed only by humanity.
Think back on your life’s journey for a defining moment. Has this led you to a breakthrough in your identity? Did this breakthrough glorify God moving forward with your life?
We all have stories about our life, don’t we? God has definitely been there time and time again to pick you up where you are and guess what, He’ll do it again. Again and again, God doesn’t give up on us, ever! He is faithful to completion. He has a story breathed in you that is waiting to blossom to glorify Himself. Are you saying “yes Lord, here I am, send me”… as Isaiah said?
Identify the choices you make and how they can have a great effect on the lives of many. Your testimony of faith, or overcoming obstacles or challenges can impress hope and healing to others.
I truly believe God is awakening women, I’m seeing it all around me and throughout this ministry.
He is calling us to a much greater purpose in serving others than in self-fulfillment. He is longing for you to serve Him wholeheartedly.  Give Him your all, not just a finger or a toe.
Look for an awakening in your heart, a story to share with the world and then use it.  Ask God for your next assignment of serving Him.

God’s word tells us many times that perseverance, while it may not be fun, is good for us… I’ll describe perseverance as “the ability to see a problem or a situation through to its resolution despite difficulties faced along the way.”
It’s not hard to persevere when things go your way, but when the road becomes rocky, we need strength to continue through the rough terrain.
God’s word says,…” suffering produces perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope.” (Romans 5:3-4)
Hope can drive anyone a far distance, don’t you agree?
In Hebrews 12:1, we are commanded to stay the course God puts us on.
“And let us run with perseverance  the race marked out for us.” (Hebrews 12:1)
We know that the enemy can try to wear us down or discourage us while we’re trying to move forward.  If this applies to you, ask God to help you stand firm until the enemy is defeated,  whichever way he is attacking you.
The enemy could be attacking your mind with doubts about your abilities to do something huge, or you could be experiencing sickness or disease in your physical body.
The enemy can attack our decision to accomplish something that may reap benefits for others in the name of Jesus.
Whatever it may be, ask God for strength to see you through each of the circumstances you are faced with.
David never stopped until the job was finished,  and neither should we. We should pray until we receive an answer. Go forward, press on, YOU CAN DO THIS.
This is for YOU!
When we persevere in prayer, it allows God’s POWER  to flow through us so we can withstand whatever pressures are coming our way.
Remember, with God, you can eliminate issues that come your way, and while God assists you, He gives you the perseverance to attain the result. That very result may change the world you live in right now. Never underestimate the POWER of God or the strength only He can give to persevere.
God is with YOU, and with Him arming you with strength, you will push forward. You will have victory.

How many of us search for fulfillment daily only to find more frustrations or even experience ongoing failures of being fulfilled in our lives?
One thing that prevents me from becoming frustrated over lack of fulfillment in an area of my life is realizing I live in a world that is imperfect. I need to voice this to myself regularly, especially while reading things on social media and interacting with others daily. There is nothing perfect in this world except God.
I encourage you and others and myself to continuously seek the knowledge needed to develop a close relationship with our Creator, which comes when we trust in Jesus and His words. To me, it satisfies deep yearnings and gives joy that I can’t describe.
God planted a longing for perfection in each of our hearts. It’s a desire which only God can fulfill. I’ve been on the roller coaster of seeking fulfillment from people, things, and even achievements, even achievements, only to find myself disappointed, wanting more, or sometimes feeling a sense of loneliness attached. This desire for self-fulfillment can also become like a god or a false idol. God tells us, “Have no other gods before Me!”
There is a need to make God the deepest desire of my heart. Each day that I do, the peace enjoy it brings to my soul far surpasses any earthly fulfillment I think I want. The verse that encourages me to write this is…
“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” ( Psalm 37:4 NKJV)
May you each find fulfillment in serving Jesus and understand that He is the only One who can provide true fulfillment as you go through your day.

Hands to Heaven
by guest writer/singer, songwriter: Sara Sahm
This song was birthed out of a lot of pain.  I was struggling at the time with severe depression and anxiety. It took all my strength to pray, and the thought of worship seemed impossible.  I was given a card with Isaiah 41:10,
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.”
Those words were so encouraging to me and led me to Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV.
“Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you, he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
For me, the “them” was the voices in my head telling me I was a failure, that because I was struggling, I shouldn’t come to God.  I was thankful for the encouragement the Word had given me, but I wasn’t sure what to do next.  God then led me to the answer once again: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV.
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances: for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
In the pain, I made a conscious decision to lift my hands and worship.  I got on my knees, and I prayed.  At first, it felt so awkward, and I wanted to quit, but I kept worshiping.  It was in that place of brokenness I found what willingness is.  I learned that my human thoughts and feelings cannot be depended upon-but God’s Word can!
So today I encourage you, lift your hands in worship and bow your head to pray.  No matter the circumstance God’s word is still true.  He is with you and waiting to meet you wherever you are.  Don’t let feelings cloud your faith!

(Galatians 2:20 NIV)
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Life can be so different when we wake up encouraged and expecting God to show up in some way. We look for Him in the streets we walk, in the areas we drive by, in the people we speak to daily. We look for Him in our marriages as we strive to understand the changes that are taking place. We look for Him in our children as they learn to live life according to His will.
Everywhere we look, Jesus can be found because He lives in us and we are seeing through His eyes. We don’t have to go far to find Him. We just have to call on Him and He will appear. His word then comes alive and begins to encourage, to appease, and to give direction, teaching us to rest in Him.
Everything is a choice with the Lord. We either do it our way, because we think we know best and because we want a quick result or we choose to wait on Him, no matter how long it takes, and rest in knowing that the end result will be satisfying and perfect just for you.
What is meant for us by the Father’s hands will always deliver His anointed outcome, covered and protected by His hands and received with joy by a grateful heart that sings all praise to Him.
Waiting on God may not be easy but trusting in Him can be if we are accustomed to knowing that His power, grace, love forgiveness, and compassion for our circumstance will rise above anything we can ever expect when we do it in our own strength.
